Summer Vacation Adventures

School’s out for summer!! We have 10 weeks of summer vacation adventures, outings and laziness ahead of us. And just in time for this year’s summer break, I finished our family film from last year. Better late than never. I almost didn’t want to tackle a personal film, but seeing the kids’ reactions to it was well worth the late nights.

Trips to visit family and friends near and far, hanging around our house, swimming, swimming and more swimming. That pretty much sums up summer break for us. I love our lazy mornings and getting a break from the boys’ sports. They both play soccer and baseball so we often bounce from one game to the next until dinner time.

Keep in mind that our film is the highlight reel of our summer vacation adventures. Not pictured: The boredom that I force onto my kids and the sibling bickering that’s an inevitable part of so many weeks of being together. I think boredom helps them get creative and also makes them excited to go back to school in the Fall. But we’re on Day 3 so buckle up…

I’m SO happy to have these memories of our life in motion. Much like many things with parenting, it’s bittersweet to see how much the kids have grown in such a short time. I love seeing their little faces just a bit chubbier and hearing their small voices. And I know the kids love watching our films as much as I do! So fun.

What are you doing to enjoy this summer to its fullest? Did you come up with a summer bucket list for your home town? Drop me a line below. I’d love to know about your summer vacation adventures!
